The law makes Chevrolet pay legal fees. Next, the car shut off and the command center went blank. I turned the car off and back on. Car electrical system remains on and honks three times if the key fob is not in range. Chevy transmission won't go into 3rd or 4th gear - This indicates that 3 or 4 gear clutches are worn. There last reasoning for not giving me a resolution was because they were waiting on service records, yet I called the dealerships and had the service records in less than an hour. I was able to avoid being hit again and stopped on the side of the road. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. This happens when the car is stationary and parked. There was an tsb on the make, model, and year of the car, but gm did not inform their customers of the issue and the dangerous situation one could be in if the car decided to malfunction in the middle of traffic. The engine was sputtering & the steering felt tight & it felt like it was stalling, with a green turn arrow I risked crossing the highway & was able to safely park in the community's rec center. Dealership placed new battery & it went away for about a week then returned while driving in the 45 mph range, reduced engine power, then slow acceleration from a stop sign. Car doesnt want to start. I'm concerned with there not being some sort of housing inside the valve cover cupping the side of cam that meets vacuum pump to shield engine components from metal pieces incase vac pump broke into pieces since vacuum pump isn't part of the engine itself and the torque of cam shaft up against the gear on vac pump is very high, the expectation of parts braking off is highly likely, and there nothing protecting your engine from those fragments.. The manufacturer was not contacted. It was necessaryto remove the front end to do the repairs. On chevy malibus when you put the vehicle in park and shut it off, anywhere, and the vehicle is stationary, a message will pop up "shift to park" but it is already in park.
